Earlier today, the EBU has revealed the official stage design for the 68th Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place from the 7th to the 11th of May 2024 in the Swedish city of Malmรถ.

The stage was designed by Florian Wieder and Fredrik Stormby and shows a cross shaped floor. Many square shaped lights are on the ceiling, shining in blue and purple colours.

Ebba Adielsson, the Executive Producer of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest commented the following on eurovision.tv:

โ€˜It is with great pride that we present our vision of the stage and lighting design for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. We have not seen anything like this before at Eurovision and the concept gives us endless opportunities to create unique spaces and expressions for both the competing artists and the opening and interval acts. Florian and Fredrik’s creation is simply fantastic and it will be so much fun to see the end result!โ€™

Here are some of our thoughts on the stage for the 68th edition of our favourite show in the world:

Dave:

I assume those things hanging from the ceiling are going to mimic the northern lights in the arena. I think it will be BRA.

Sebi:

Judging by the pictures we have seen, it could be one of the best stages we’ve ever had. The color scheme is beautiful and it looks totally unique. Very hyped!

Jan:

Based on the visual representations, the stage appears to be exceptionally well-designed, and I am optimistic about its seamless functionality. The overall aesthetic portrayed in the images is impressive, leading me to believe that it will contribute significantly to the overall success of the event.
