If you’ve been following our podcast over the last few weeks, you’ll know we had the pleasure of chatting with no less than seven artists from Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix. With the MGP Final just hours away at time of writing, it’s time to turn our attention to another exciting Eurovision national selection, one not too far from Norway!
The Final of Finland’s UMK (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu) is just one week away and our Sebi will be live on location in Tampere at Nokia Arena covering the event on our socials as it unfolds on Saturday, 10th February!
Sadly, Dave was alone for our first UMK interview. He chatted with Teemu Keisteri, better known with his moniker Windows95man, who is making his UMK début with his first ever single, No Rules!
Curious about how he crossed over to music from the visual arts world, Dave asked Windows95man where the idea came from to release his first song and throw his white Windows95 hat into the UMK ring:
“I’ve got a fine arts background, so then it’s also a bit scary to now be in Finland in this UMK, this giant thing. It’s really a lot because I’m quite a sensitive person, so it’s been a dream already for years to make things bigger, and I think Eurovision is the only platform where you can actually be a visual artist, you can be whatever!”

Be sure and check out the full interview (above). He goes on to explain his ‘No Rules’ philosophy in life, and we chat about his favourite Eurovision performances that have stuck with him over the years.
Windows95man’s energy is striking during the interview, and you just get the feeling that he’s ready to get on that big stage now! We wish Windows95man the best of luck in Tampere and can’t wait to see how he will close the show!
