The party on the Mediterranean coast of Spain had to come to an end eventually, but it did so in an amazing Grand Final in Benidorm!
Only eight acts competed in the final of Benidorm Fest 2024, after we lost eight others in the two Semi Finals on Tuesday and Thursday. A random draw decided the running order:
- 1. María Peláe – Remitente [Sender] (86 points)
- 2. St. Pedro – Dos extraños [Two Strangers] (139 points)
- 3. Angy Fernández – Sé quién soy [I know who I am] (128 points)
- 4. Jorge González – Caliente [Hot] (124 points)
- 5. Nebulossa – Zorra [Bitch] (156 points)
- 6. Sofia Coll – Here to Stay (73 points)
- 7. Miss Caffeina – Bla bla bla (59 points)
- 8. Almácor – Brillos platino [Platinum glitter] (99 points)
After the juries awarded 50% of their votes, St. Pedro and Nebulossa tied! It was a first in Benidorm history! The public put Nebulossa over the edge, and they are off to Malmö to represent Spain!
Here is what the hosts of Building Bridges think of Zorra — Spain’s song for Eurovision 2024:
Jan: ★★★★☆
What an absolute banger! This will be a party at every Euroclub for years on. This (almost) makes up for Nochentera not winning last year
Sebi: ★★★★☆
Spain dares to be different and stand out! I loved this song from the start and I can’t wait to party along to this in the hall! However, I really hope that they improve the staging until May. The live does not live up to the studio version yet!
Dave: ★★★★★
I’m so happy for them! Such a crowd-pleasing happy song that will have us on our feet in Malmö!
