Welcome to our weekly post in an effort to keep you up-to-date on anything and everything *Eurovision* you might have missed in the last 7 days! Spoliers ahead!
Welcome to February! The week of the 28th January-3rd February should have given us four new Eurovision 2024 songs (but we only got 3) as the clock continues to tick down to the Grand Final in Malmö which is less than 100 days away!!!
🇺🇦 Suspilne’s Suspense
Eleven acts competed in Vidbir 2024 for the right to become Ukraine’s 19th Eurovision artist. What should have been our first result on a busy Saturday dragged on for over 4½ hours with NO WINNER chosen! The hosts stalled for over an hour until the decision was made by the broadcaster Suspilne to end the show for the day.
Due to an error with the voting app, the results will be revealed on Sunday instead, so come back for an update then!
🇳🇴 🌟 Norway has chosen Gåte
It’s perhaps not a big surprise that Gåte won MGP 2024, but it ended up being a lot closer than one might have thought. KEiiNO’s bop Damdiggida came in second (for the second time now) just 5 points behind the revamped Ulveham.
🇲🇹 🌟 Malta Eurovision Song Contest comes to an end
Matt Blxck and Ryan Hili will have to try again next year, because neither reentrant was able to win the Maltese ticket to Malmö. It was newcomer Sarah Bonnici whose song Loop decisively won MESC 2024!

What was a week of music and partying on Spain’s Mediterranean coast has come to an end in Benidorm. The Festival, now in its third year, has ended with Nebulossa walking away with the coveted bronze microphone trophyfor the dance track Zorra!

We will lose over 100 acts in the Semis, scheduled for 15th and 16th February, as there are only 20 spots in the Grand Final set for Saturday, 24th February.

The first of five Heats of Melfest wrapped up in Sweden on Saturday night. In a new format for 2024, there is no ‘Second Chance’ Round, with the Top 2 songs from the five Heats going directly to the Final in Stockholm on 9th March.
