All eyes were on Tampere’s Nokia Arena Saturday night as Käärijä’s tenure as Finland’s Eurovision representative came to an end.

Finnish broadcaster Yle put on an incredible show as seven acts competed for their shot at the Finnish ticket to Eurovision in Malmö this May.

UMK’s voting was made up of 25% from international juries and the other 75% coming from the Finnish televote.

After the juries had voted, Sara Siipola was out in the lead with 70 points, a full 22 points ahead of second place Cyan Kicks. To keep us entertained during the suspensful voting, Käärijä appeared for what was possibly his best performance of Cha Cha Cha yet!

After the televotes were all in, the scoreboard looked like this:

  • Windows95man — 28 + 285 = 313 points
  • Sara Siipola — 70 + 203 = 273 points
  • Mikael Gabriel & Nublu — 42 + 136 = 178 points
  • Cyan Kicks — 48 + 80 = 128 points
  • Jesse Markin — 34 + 76 = 110 points
  • Sexmane — 34 + 74 = 108 points
  • Sini Sabotage — 38+ 27 = 65 points

We had the pleasure of speaking to him before the show. See what he had to say about the chance of representing Finland at Eurovision.

Here is what the hosts of Building Bridges think of No Rules! — Finland’s song for Eurovision 2024:

Jan: ★★★★☆

An electrifying fusion of catchy beats and infectious melodies, this Finnish pop anthem is a burst of energy that’ll have you dancing from start to finish. With its pulsating rhythms and irresistible hooks, it’s impossible not to get swept away by the sheer joy and exuberance of this track.

Sebi: ★★★★☆

This was insane to witness in the arena! It was the audience’s clear favorite, nothing else came close to the feeling of sheer party and everyone gasped at the firework wings! This will go down a storm in Malmö!

Dave: ★★★★☆

I think Windows95man will be an appropriate successor to Käärijä! His energy is infectious and this is going straight to the Grand Final in Eurovision!

Are you happy with Finland’s choice? Windows95man will compete in Semi Final 1 in Malmö!
