After a thrilling and very long final of Una Voce Per San Marino, the Spanish rock band Megara has been announced as the winner and San Marino’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö with their song 11:11.
Megara are no strangers to Eurovision, as they finished 4th at Benidorm Fest 2023 with Arcadia. Now they will finally get their chance on the big Eurovision stage for San Marino, in the second Semi Final on the 9th of May.
Surprisingly, Megara were able to leave legends like Loredana Bertè or Jalisse behind, despite having to go through the Second Chance Round earlier this week.
Loredana Bertè finished in 2nd place and La Rua placed 3rd. The rankings from 4th to 17th were:

Here is what we think about San Marino’s entry for Malmö:
Jan: ★★★☆☆
With San Marino, you can always expect the unexpected. Megara came into the competition as dark horses and surprisingly took the victory. This song, while not my preferred type of music, has potential to get some televotes. Having San Marino in the final again would be amazing!
Sebi: ★★★☆☆
For San Marino standards, this is certainly a big improvement. However, it’s classes below their Benidorm entry and the whole package is just very shouty and not too pleasant. They will get a huge stage and much better sound in Malmö, so I hope they can use that to their advantage. There is potential!
Dave: ★★☆☆☆
I’m still in shock. I can see Megara putting on a big show in Malmö, but what an opportunity to take Loredana to Eurovision. They will bring lots of energy and I can’t wait to see how they will stage 11:11 in May!
