Moments ago, it was announced that the duo Ladaniva will represent Armenia at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. This makes for the last internally selected artist reveal of the season, meaning after tonight’s finals of Melodifestivalen and Festival da Canção, we will know the full line-up of artists, traveling to Malmö this May.
Ladaniva is a duo, consisting of the Armenian singer Jaklin Baghdasaryan and the French instrumentalist Louis Thomas. Together, they combine traditional Armenian folk music, with modern musical influences.
In the video on the official Eurovision Song Contest Instagram account, Ladaniva have introduced themselves as the Armenian act for Malmö and told us that their song would be released very song. They then start a melody, which may tease the sound of their Eurovision song:
