Theo Evan will take his next big step in his musical journey by performing at Eurovision Song Contest next year, in Basel, Switzerland.

Born in Nicosia, Theo spent his early years in dance classes, singing in his school choir, and participating in numerous theater productions and talent competitions across Cyprus, often receiving accolades for his performances.

After graduating from The English School in Nicosia, Theo moved to the United States to pursue studies in music and performance at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. He graduated with distinction and has since been invited back as an honorary guest at the university’s graduation ceremonies on three occasions, sharing the stage with notable figures such as Missy Elliot, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, and Eurovision 2016’s interval performer, Justin Timberlake.

Theo released his debut single The Wall in 2021, and since then, he has created an impressive collection of tracks, drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists like Stromae, Michael Jackson, and reggaeton.

Some viewers may also recognize Theo from HBO’s popular series Euphoria, where he made appearances as an extra.

Theo’s Eurovision song will be released later, marking Cyprus’ 41st entry in the competition. The country’s best result so far was in 2018 when Eleni Foureira secured second place with Fuego. Since then, Cyprus has qualified for the Grand Final four more times, most recently in 2024 when Silia Kapsis achieved a 15th-place finish with the song Liar, earning 78 points.
