Czech national broadcaster ČT (Česká televize) has officially announced that Adam Pavlovčin, better known by his stage name ADONXS, will represent Czechia at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.

Adam Pavlovčin, who goes by his stage name ADONXS, is a Prague-based Slovak singer with a distinctive deep voice, composer, model and dancer. In the past, he was the frontman of the London band Pace.

ADONXS gained widespread recognition after winning the 2021 season of SuperStar, the Czech-Slovak adaptation of Idol. His performances during the competition, marked by bold, gender-fluid styling, charismatic stage presence, and challenged traditional norms. This victory not only launched his solo career but also cemented his status as a trailblazer in Czech and Slovak music.

Adonxs grew up listening to Queen, Depeche Mode, Elton John, Seal, Prince, and has cited AURORA, Sevdaliza, Josef Salvat, Sufjan Stevens, London Grammar, Lorde, Dua Lipa, Birdy, Florence + the Machine as some of his musical influences.

In an interview with Esquire, Adonxs defined his style as “London queer pop culture influenced”, meanwhile ELLE dubbed ADONXS “the queer king”, while Musicserver compared him to James Blake and Woodkid.

He has released several songs, including recently released Intergalactic Rodeo, his most successful single Moving On, and No Common Measure, to name a few.

His debut album, Age of Adonxs earned praise for its innovative blend of electronic pop and introspective lyricism, making it one of the standout albums in Slovak and Czech music in 2022​.

In addition to his musical success, ADONXS has earned accolades such as placements on Forbes Slovakia’s 30 Under 30 list and multiple awards for his chart-topping singles.

He has performed at major music events like the Lovestream Festival, sharing the stage with global icons like Dua Lipa and Zara Larsson. His music videos, recognized for their creativity and boldness, have also garnered nominations at international festivals, including the Berlin Music Video Awards​.
