With time ticking down to the 16-song final of Eesti Laul 2025 in Tallinn on 15th February, we’re turning our attention to Estonia and we’re happy to share our interview with FELIN, who hopes to wave the Estonian flag in Basel on her Eesti Laul début.
Felin’s passion for music began early, growing up in a small Finnish village and forming her first band at age 11. She moved from Finland to Stockholm for more opportunities, later participating in Swedish Idol and pursuing further music studies in Los Angeles.
Felin’s music blends energetic pop-punk with intense visual storytelling, a style shaped by her love for captivating performances and visually engaging artistry. Felin has even collaborated with renowned artists like Adam Lambert and opened for the Chainsmokers!
Felin will compete with her song Solo Anthem at Eesti Laul. She chatted with Jan about how she incorporated her personal message of empowerment into the lyrics:
“At the end of the day, the most important person to believe in yourself needs to be you… Even if I don’t feel like it right now, I’m still the shit, and this is my anthem, my Solo Anthem.”
— Elin Blom (Felin)
Felin’s lyrics often address important social issues, including gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights. She sees her platform as an opportunity to inspire and empower listeners:
“If it can inspire someone or empower someone, then it makes me really happy… Music is not going to change the world, but if it can make someone feel less alone or stand up for equality, then my job is done.”
— Elin Blom (Felin)
FELIN will perform Solo Anthem live in the Eesti Laul final on 15th February, as she battles for the Estonian ticket to Basel!
