Moments ago, the hosts of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel were revealed during a press event of the Swiss broadcaster SRF and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

The presenters of the Arena Plus, a big arena right next to the St. Jakobshalle, as well as the spokespersons for Switzerland this year will be Sven Epiney and Mélanie Freymond. The duo has been presenting television shows in Switzerland for decades and cover all national languages of Switzerland together. They will present the points of the Swiss jury live from the arena.

While the main presenters of the Semi Finals and the Grand Final at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest are:

Hazel Brugger — A Swiss comedian who has gained popularity with her shows on German, Swiss and Austrian television, Hazel is one of the most frequent faces on German speaking TV.

Sandra Studer — Known as a singer and presenter in her home country, Sandra has a lot of Eurovision experience already, as she has represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 in Rome with Canzone per te.

Joining Sandra and Hazel to host the Grand Final is:

Michelle Hunziker — a well known name in Switzerland, Italy and all the German speaking countries was born to present one of the most multilingual events in the world. The actress, model and TV presenter is fluent in five languages (English, German, Italian, French and Dutch) and has hosted a respectable list of international live shows, including the EBU Saturday Live Show “Wetten Dass…?”.
