The road to EMA 2025 officially began tonight as the show Ema pred Emo introduced the 12 competing artists and their songs, which are now available to listen to on RTV 365. The grand final will take place on Saturday, 1st February 2025, where Slovenia’s next Eurovision representative will be chosen.
During Ema pred Emo, hosted in a lively disco-themed set, viewers were treated to brief previews of the competing songs. Jože Robežnik talked to the all 12 EMA 2025 artists, offering fans a closer look at the performers and their inspirations.
The show also featured Bernarda Žarn in conversation with former Slovenian Eurovision representatives, like Maja Keuc (Slovenia 2011), Lea Sirk (Slovenia 2018), Nuša Derenda (Eurovision 2001), Cole Moretti (Slovenia 1993), Omar Naber (Slovenia 2005 and 2017), and Eva Boto (Slovenia 2012), as well as some other TV personalities, including Miša Molk, who played a pivotal role in establishing EMA three decades ago, and Slovenian journalist Denis Živčec, who reported as a journalist on-site of the Eurovision Song Contest, since 2011.
The full versions of the songs are now available on RTV 365, allowing fans to explore this year’s lineup ahead of the live final. Fans can access all competing entries on RTV 365.
The competition will unfold in two rounds. In the first round, five specialized juries will cast their votes:
- Music industry professionals (singers, songwriters, producers)
- Television jury (directors, choreographers, editors)
- Radio jury (radio hosts, editors, journalists)
- Eurovision fan jury (members of OGAE Slovenia)
- International Eurovision influencers (bloggers, vloggers, and commentators from abroad).
The two songs with the highest scores after the jury voting will advance to the second round. In this final showdown, the winner will be determined solely by public voting via phone and SMS.
The running order, in which the artists will perform, was also revealed:
- ANNA – Čau
- ZveN – Divja
- PolarAce – Kind
- Astrid & The Scandals – Touché
- Jon Vitezič – Vse ti dam
- KiKi – O-ou!
- Eva Pavli – Niti
- Klemen – How Much Time Do We Have Left
- July Jones – New Religion
- Žan Videc – Pusti, da gori

The stakes are high as the twelve competing acts aim to follow in the footsteps of Raiven, last year’s Slovenian Eurovision representative, and also, this years’ EMA 2025 host.
