The second edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest ended just a few moments ago, which means that the third official entry for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel has been found.
Seven acts competed to represent the Grand Duchy in Basel:
- Rafa Ela – No Thank You
- Rhytmic Soulwave – Stronger
- Luzac – Je danse
- One Last Time – Gambler’s Song
- MÄNA – Human Eyes
- Laura Thorn – La poupée monte le son
- ZERO POINT FIVE – Ride
After an exciting voting sequence, combining the professional jury and the televote, Laura Thorn has been crowned as the winner and will therefore represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Unlike many singers who have represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest in the past, Laura Thorn was born and raised in Luxembourg. Her quirky French song is an homage to France Gall’s international hit “Poupée de cire, poupée de son”, which won the Eurovsion Song Contest for Luxembourg exactly 60 years ago.
