This evening, the French singer and actress Louane announced on her Instagram account that she will be representing France at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Basel.

In her Instagram post, Louane reveals that she was a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest since her childhood and that it has always been her unimaginable dream to represent France one day.

Louane is one of the most succesful modern musicians in France, whose biggest chart success “Avenir” became a huge hit in several European countries, including top 10 in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and Slovakia, as well as number 1 in Luxembourg and France.

As of now, there is no official information on her Eurovision song yet but it is likely a contemporary pop song in French, like most of her discography.
