Klara Hammarström will perform her new entry On and On and On in fourth position in the running order of Heat 2 of Melodifestivalen 2025, Sweden’s Eurovision selection show.
She has some heavy hitting members on her songwriting team, including Cazzi Opeia who was a song writter on Loreen’s Tattoo, and Thomas G:Son who was also part of Tattoo, and also Loreen’s Euphoria.
Perhaps four is Klara’s lucky number this year, as 2025 also marks her fourth Melfest appearance. Her first was in 2020 with Nobody. Klara returned in 2021 with Beat of Broken Hearts and again the next year with her hit Run to the Hills.
Given Klara last entered Melodifestivalen in 2022, we asked her why return at this point in time:
“This song made me so sure that I want to compete again, and even though how it goes, I will be proud of standing behind it because it’s that kind of song. It’s a poppy, party song with strong lyrics that really touch me.”

However, her fans should not expect her new Melfest entry to sound like her previous attempts:
“I feel like my song is something new to Eurovision and to Melfest this year, too. But I just hope that Sweden is ready to take something in that they haven’t heard and that they can like it, even though they haven’t heard before, because that’s what I usually have struggles with.”

Klara also envisioned how Eurovision in Basel might go, should she be victorious in Stockholm on 8th March:
“I think if I win Melfest, that’s that’s the hardest part. I think then Eurovision could go a little bit easier. Maybe. I feel like that has always been my tricky part. It was hard, like getting the points from the from the the European judges with Run to the Hills’. I think I got the lowest points of like almost everyone. Then the year after, Norway comes with the really good Alessandra and sings almost like an EDM song, a song like mine, and gets really good results.”
