The Lithuanian representative for the 69ᵗʰ Eurovision Song Contest in Basel has been chosen. 12 acts performed in the final of EUROVIZIJA.LT in an artistic and exciting show tonight.

Nine acts were eliminated after the first round of voting:

• 4ᵗʰ place – Black Biceps – Visaip man reik
• 5ᵗʰ place – Amoralu – Freedom
• 6ᵗʰ place – Gøya – After Storm
• 7ᵗʰ place – Anyanya – Running Out of Time
• 8ᵗʰ place – Petunija – Į saldumą
• 9ᵗʰ place – Sophie Ali – The Bluest Bell
• 10ᵗʰ place – Justė Baradulinaitė – Tired
• 11ᵗʰ place – Gebrasy – Whole
• 12ᵗʰ place – Noy – Just Take Me on a Date

The three entires that made it to the Superfinal were:

• Winner: Katarsis – Tavo akys
• 2ⁿᵈ place – Lion Ceccah – Drobė
• 3ʳᵈ place – Liepa – Ar mylėtum?

At the end of the night, Katarsis was crowned as the winner and Lithuania’s next representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. His powerful song Tavo akys has been regarded as one of the big favorites for the victory since its premiere at Heat 4 of the Lithuanian selection.

Lithuania will perform in the first half of the second semi-final on Thursday, May 15ᵗʰ. So far, Lithuania has qualified to every Eurovision Grand Final in the 2020s. Will their remarkable streak continue this year?
