The road to Vienna 2026 continues! Following the announcement of our hosts for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski sat down with the press earlier today to share their excitement, their “match” as a duo, and some hilarious behind-the-scenes stories.

This isn’t just another gig for Victoria, it’s a “dream come true”. While Victoria is known for her high-fashion glamour, Michael is a veteran actor and host with 25 years of experience. ORF promises a “light-hearted” evening to provide fans with escapism during difficult times.

We expect to see lots of Victoria’s iconic “glamour and big dresses” on stage in Vienna, whereas Michael is likely to provide the humour during the live shows. Despite not knowing each other before being cast, the pair already display a natural chemistry, with Michael calling their partnership a “magic match”.

Victoria was asked to host months ago, back in the summer of 2025 and struggled to keep the secret from her large family. However, Michael received the call just two days before Christmas while at the dentist. “I had some good painkillers and injections… I was half-alive when [ORF] called,” he joked, adding that he only needed half a second to say yes!

Both Victoria and Michael promised a show that celebrates 70 years of history without being overly nostalgic. The duo plans to “take the piss” out of Austrian stereotypes while ensuring the contest remains a “safe place for everyone”.

When asked who their dream third co-host would be, they didn’t hesitate: Arnold Schwarzenegger. “‘I’ll be back’ 20 times for every commercial break!” Michael laughed.

With rehearsals set to intensify in April, Victoria and Michael are ready to “build bridges” (Yes, Michael really did say that!) and bring Europe together for an unforgettable anniversary celebration.
