Welcome back to our weekly posts in our effort to keep you up-to-date on national final news over the last week! Spoliers ahead!

🇧🇬 🏆 DARA wins Natsionalnata Selektsiya 2026

For the first time in 13 years, we are in the midst of a televised Bulgarian selection show — a first since Bŭlgarskata pesen v „Evroviziya 2013” chose the song “Samo shampioni” for Elitsa Todorova and Stoyan Yankulov!

Of the eight artists remaining in the Bulgarian selection, DARA won both the jury and televote on Saturday night. Each artist sang a song from their back catalogues.

DARA now has a month to prepare for the final episode of Natsionalnata Selektsiya 2026 on 28^th February where she will sing three songs, and one will be chosen as her entry for Vienna.

🇸🇪 Melodifestivalen 2026 kicks off in Linköping

The first of five Heats took place in Sweden’s famed national selection on Saturday night. Six acts took part, and as always, two went through to the Final in Stockholm on 7^th March.

This week saw Greczula and A*Teens punch their tickets to Stockholm.

Jacqline still has a 50% chance of getting one of the last spots in the Final thanks to the Finalkval vote after Heat 5!

🇱🇻 Latvia celebrates the first Semi of Supernova

On Saturday evening, the first of two Semi Finals featuring twelve acts each took place in Latvia. Five acts won over the jury and televoters and will compete in the Final of Supernova 2026 on 14^th February:

• ELPO – Blakus
• Emilija – All We Ever Had
• Kautkaili – Te un tagad
• De Mantra – Let Them

🇱🇹 Heat 2 is over in Lithuania

Eight acts competed again this week in Eurovizija.LT 2026. Once the results of the televote and juries were combined 50%-50%, two artists (Atikin and Vilnius Voices) were chosen for the Final on 27th February:

Meanwhile, Grete joins Thomas G from last week’s Heat 1 as qualifiers for the Wildcard round.

🇳🇴 NRK releases songs competing in MGP 2026

In case you missed it, on Monday, Norwegian broadcaster NRK released the nine songs competing in Melodi Grand Prix 2026. The live final is set for 28^th February.

Expect songs from Serbia on Monday, then on Saturday we’ll have Semi Finals to watch in Lativa, Lithuania and Sweden, plus the Final of Vidbir in Ukraine!
