🇺🇦 🏆 Out with the old, in with the new for Ukraine
Ukraine’s national selection Vidbir is a fan-favourite and for good reason. It’s one show and done, with a solid line-up, a pinch of drama, and where anything can happen.
Vidbir 2026 saw the return of Go_A’s (Ukraine 2020, 2021) frontwoman Kateryna Pavlenko, performing with the stage name Monokate, and finishing in 6ᵗʰ place with Tyt.
Jerry Heil (Ukraine 2024) was back to perform Catharticus (Prayer), however only managed a 3ʳᵈ place finish. During the show she posted to her social media that the performance was not live, and that the producers had failed to film her staging as she wanted, despite previous assurances.
In the end, it was newcomer Leléka who won the Ukrainian jury vote and the televote with Ridnym:
