Game over!

Luke Black from Serbia visits Dave and Sebi in the Building Bridges studio to talk about Eurovision, his connection to Konstrakta and his tour through China. He also reveals why his stage name is Black, why he is Loreen’s horse boy, and what the deal with the lobster is.

Just days before heading off for Liverpool, Luke Black was kind enough to give us some of his time, calling in from his flat in London.

Luke has been part of the music scene in Serbia for many years, but he never really fit in with the status quo — which is the origin of his stage name “Black”.

He also told us about his experiences touring China, his indecision about applying for Eurovision, and how he got to know, and be mentored by the one and only Konstraka.

We concluded our chat with a pop quiz for Luke to test his Eurovision knowledge, but not before asking him about his toy lobster!

“Living in the U.K. has definitely upgraded me as an artist, it has humbled me, it has made me work harder, it has made me more disciplined and make me understand music much more. Especially since most of my favourite music comes from the U.K.”

– Luke Black
Luke was able to extend Serbia’s qualification streak to five in a row with “Samo mi se spava” in Liverpool! Serbia came 24th in the Grand Final with 30 points.
