Slovenia has chosen its representative for Eurovision 2025! Klemen won EMA 2025 with the song How Much Time Do We Have Left. He will perform the winning entry on May 13 during the first half of the first semi-final.
EMA 2025 selection featured 12 competing artists in the following order:
- ANNA – Čau
- ZveN – Divja
- PolarAce – Kind
- Astrid & The Scandals – Touché
- Jon Vitezič – Vse ti dam
- KiKi – O-ou!
- Eva Pavli – Niti
- Klemen – How Much Time Do We Have Left
- July Jones – NEW RELIGION
- Žan Videc – Pusti, da gori
- Trine – Grace
- RAI – Frederick’s Dead
The winner was determined through a two-round voting system. In the first round, five different jury panels cast their votes. Spokespersons are bolded:
- music industry professionals (Gregor Ravnik, Kris Guštin, Rok Lunaček, Karin Zemljič, Neža Buh)
- television jury (Dajana Makovec, Juš Hrastnik, Leila Aleksandra Jelić, Rok Smolej, Anže Škrube)
- radio jury (Jernej Sobočan, Gregor Stermecki, Urša Mravlje, Jana Morelj, Melani Mekicar)
- OGAE Slovenia jury (Jan Vehar, Metka Dolanc, Rene Dopler, David Sopotnik, Boštjan Smrekar)
- international Eurovision online influencers (Adam Mc Callig, Sanja Daić, Alesia Michelle, William Lee Adams, Jan Bors)
After this round, the two highest-scoring songs advanced to the final showdown:
- How Much Time Do We Have Left – Klemen (51 points)
- NEW RELIGION – July Jones (50 points)
In the second round, public voting via landline and mobile phones decided the ultimate winner. Klemen’s song triumphed and will now represent Slovenia at Eurovision 2025.
During the show, hosts Raiven and Štras also premiered their new songs and performed a duet titled Zaljubila/Zažarim.
Today, at 17:15 CET on TV SLO 1, a special broadcast titled Ema po Emi will take viewers behind the scenes. It will explore:
- Pre-show preparations, including backstage moments, wardrobe, and choreography rehearsals
- How the presenters prepare and unwind before going live
- A closer look at the famous “green room”
- And finally, the significance of EMA’s trophy in modern pop culture
This exclusive backstage look will be presented by Andrej Hofer.
